Joseph "JO" Segarra started learning the marketing and advertising world by obtaining a paid internship at Ruder Finn. Joseph worked on accounts such as Ricoh, Liz Claiborne, Sony Mini Disc, Lycos, United Jewish Association, Pfizer, Coca-Cola and much more during his time spent at Ruder Finn. Joseph graduated in 2004 from the University of Hartford with a BA in Advertising and Communications. Joseph landed his first music industry position at TVT Records where he handled radio promotions and Street Marketing for Lil Jon, Pitbull, Ying Yang Twins, O-Solo and Jacki-O. Joseph was granted the opportunity to work for Pierce Promotions in which he worked as an Assistant Tour Manager to the Verizon Fios account.. From there Joseph was recruited by the SVP Universal Motown/CMG, Tone Capone to help launch the new latin division within Motown. Following his graduation from the Princeton Record Exchange (and Rutgers University) in 2002, Aronow quickly hustled his way into a gig at the internationally-distributed music and lifestyle magazine the FADER at the age of 22. While writing and editing for the FADER, Aronow provided vital early coverage to the movers and shakers in the bustling music scene in NYC, as well as abroad in Europe and Canada. Following the FADER, Aronow founded and ran his own boutique consulting shop, the Simple Mission LLC, whose clients included Gnarls Barkley, Kanye West, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Spin Magazine, MySpace and Franz Ferdinand.
